Cruisin!

Hey everyone!

Well we got back last night super late from another fun weekend! Our company cruise to that fun little place of Ensanada, Mexico! We set off on Thursday morning about 10 o'clock, we car pooled down with our good friends James and Jerrica Cook. We did our drive down in a two part adventure, with part one ending in Las Vegas! We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel right on the Strip! We found this awesome little discount ticket place just a little ways down from the strip and got a really good deal on tickets to see the Jabbawockeez!! If you haven't heard of the Jabbawockeez they are a dance group the won America's Best Dance Crew (Like American Idol). It was a lot of fun! We also ate at at a very good all you can eat place in the Monte Carlo. The next morning we headed out of the final leg of the trip to Long Beach, California where the cruise departed later that day. Luckily the whole driving portion was only about 11 hours total, so the last part was only about 6 hours. When got on the Cruise it was so much fun, we were with our company Linx so we had alot of friends with us! We played games, went to shows, and ate A LOT! Ensanada was super fun we shopped around ate a little Mexican restaurant right off the shopping blvd. You gotta love real Mexican Food, Yummie! Our last day on the boat was a tad bit disappointing... The weather was not nice at all, which was pretty sad because we had a Linx sponsored Shuffle Board Tournament. Winning Team took $500 to split! Mike's team got out in the first round... :( but he almost won if that makes it anymore exciting!

Well Halloween is on its way! Mike starts school today and I am still working, it is so good to be back here in Utah, but we are still so excited for next summer. We dont know where were going quite yet but we should know soon.

To see pictures from our trip check my Facebook page! Until next time everyone take care!

Funny Story!

Hey everyone!

So Thursday Mike and I went to Best Buy after I got off work, we were just needing to return a few things. When we came back out to the car there was a guy standing out side our car and said to us "Don't leave I just hit your car"....AHHHH!! NOT our band new 2011 Kia Soul!!! Luckily or unluckily the man who hit us was a police officer, and the car he hit us with was an unmarked police car. We then had to wait almost 45 minutes for another police officer to show up to do a report, which normally you don't have to call the police but because he was the police in a police vehicle we had to call them. After the report was done and we could leave I call our insurance company (USAA!!!) and they wanted us to immediately go to a collision repair place and have it inspected to see if it was drivable and to estimate the damage. The policeman hit us on the driver side fender right by the wheel well so it damage the side panel and the fender. After waiting 20 minutes to finish with the estimate we had now be on this car journey/fiasco for 2 1/2 almost 3 hours. The damage.......drum roll.......$750!!! Ouch! So moral of the story don't park in parking lots, you are not safe from ANYONE, even police officers who are suppose to be good drivers....not!

But now for the funny part, while we were waiting for the officer to arrive to make the collision report there was a fairly large truck that attempted to park in a handicap space across from us, he failed miserably (see my Facebook or to the right). It was so funny, he didnt even attempt to fix it at all, he just stayed half in his handicap stall and half in the other. We laughed pretty hard about that one!

What a WEEK!!!

Hi Everybody!

Well we finally made it back to the home land... Good ol Utah. We have been back for a little over a week and what a crazy week it has been. We got moved into our apartment safe and sound :) We love it would be an understatement. We live in south Orem kinda by IN-N-Out and RC Wiley. Its a cute little four plex with 2 bedrooms and it is SO close to everything! It is close to Linx (our work) and everything else.

Since we have been back it has been SUPER busy! We had Conference which was such a spiritual power boost that I needed. We also had Alyse and John's Wedding, what a wonderful thing to be able to witness. It was also such a special reminder of the covenants and promises Mike and I made just over a year ago.

We also got to go fishing on dad's new boat, it was so much fun! We got 7 in the boat! I by some dumb luck caught 3 of those 7! Dad cooked em up and fried they were so good (see mikes Facebook for pics). Then that night we got to go to the BYU homecoming game! What a game, it was so much fun!

The next day was Caleb's Deacon Ordination, Andre preformed the Ordination. What a sweet thing to see Andre ordain his little brother. I am also so impressed with the manner in which Caleb treated this very important step. He is such a bright young man and I am so proud of him. :)

(These pictures are actually from the BYU v Utah game)

I also have an important announcement! I have decided I am going to cosmetology school! I am so excited to start school, I visited a few schools and got a lot of good information. I think I have settled on Taylor Andrews, I got a scholarship there that covers 40% of tuition! I will more than likely be starting in either January or March, after all the chaos of the holidays and our trip to Washington. We are still going on a cruise in February so that is why I may want to start in March. but I can also make up the week I will be gone easily at school. But we will see.

Mike starts school next week! he is super excited to get back to school and get it done! He is taking a pretty light course load so it will give him time to sell on weekends if he wants to and have fun and relax. He worked so hard this summer, and some how still so excited for next summer to!

Well It is so good to be back in Utah and to see most of you. Hopefully by Christmas we will have seen the rest of you! Love you all, keep us in your prayers!

Love,

Mike and Lindy
